Zeekr is Geely's premium EV brand, with cars designed under Stefan Sielaff, the renowned designer who joined Geely after its Volvo acquisition in 2010 and now leads Zeekr's global design studio in Gothenburg, Sweden. The name reflects a push toward sustainability and progress: "ze" for Zero Emission, "e" for Electric Evolution Era, and "kr" for krypton — a noble gas associated with high technology.

Lynk & Co can be considered Zeekr's forerunner — both share the SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform and a similar design language.
