Changan is the flagship brand of Changan Automobile Group, one of the pillars of the Chinese auto industry. In Chinese, the name is two characters: [Chang] — "reliability, tested by time" — and [An] — safety, together read "Chang'an." Its audience is modern drivers looking for a mix of tech, style, and dependability; the lineup runs from city sedans to stylish crossovers and hybrids built for practical buyers.

Distinguishing feature

Before serial production even starts, every model runs through more than 12,400 tests across 16 disciplines, using a network of over 180 labs worldwide — a combined test mileage of 4,000,000 km per model. Changan has made it into the Guinness Book of Records twice: once for the Blue Core 1.5T engine running non-stop at max RPM for 259 hours 46 minutes (equivalent to 52,000 km — longer than the Earth's equator, about 40,075 km), and again in 2018 for the world's largest autonomous-vehicle road test, with a fleet of Changan CS55s.
