Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Yandex Uzbekistan has launched a new electric scooter rental service in Samarkand. The service will become available in Bukhara in the coming days. Residents and visitors in both cities can now travel quickly and conveniently around town, avoiding traffic and reaching their destinations—whether it’s a public transport stop or a meeting point—with ease.

E-scooters can be rented through the Yandex Go app after updating it to the latest version. Once a booking is made, users are given 10 minutes of free time to reach the scooter. The starting fee is 1,990 soums, and the per-minute rate begins at 750 soums. Additionally, packages for 30, 50, and 100 minutes are available, along with a monthly subscription that includes free ride starts.

All scooters are equipped with remote speed control modules, ensuring both safety and comfort during use. Special “slow zones” have been designated in the city, where scooters automatically reduce speed. In areas where riding is prohibited, the scooters gradually come to a stop. These zones are clearly marked on the app’s map.

The service is available to users aged 18 and older. Each account can book up to three scooters simultaneously, which is convenient for groups of friends or families. Additional scooters can be booked via the “Another One” button in the app or by scanning the QR code on the scooter.

Before starting a ride, users receive a brief safety guide. The launch of the e-scooter service marks another step by Yandex Uzbekistan in promoting eco-friendly and convenient urban transport solutions across the country.
