Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Yandex Go in Uzbekistan launched a technology for automatically monitoring the speed of vehicles during service orders. This is the company’s own development. Monitoring will operate in all seven cities where the service is presented.

When a driver completes an order, the technology uses GPS to track his road track and determine the speed of movement. This speed is compared with the maximum allowed on this section according to the navigator, which is used to build routes.

If the driver exceeds the speed limit, the system warns him about this through the driver’s application. The technology takes into account possible interference with the signal, including unexpected changes in coordinates, and is able to cut off such deviations. After several warnings, the algorithm temporarily restricts the driver’s access to service orders.

“We pay great attention to security in the cities of Uzbekistan. The new technology will help drivers monitor their speed limits and reduce the risk of traffic accidents. In other countries, we see that more than 70% of drivers who previously exceeded the speed limit stop doing so after the second notification in the system,” said Tamirlan Shapiev, Executive Director of Yandex Go for Central Asian Market Development.
