Women Networking Week - a women’s platform for creating startups

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of the Five Initiatives Movement in Tashkent, a women’s event is being held, where girls are trained and create unique projects in business, STEM, art and social sphere.

The contestants who passed the online selection were divided into teams to jointly develop startups. They are given three days for this (from 21 to 23 May). In parallel, trainings, "round tables" and speeches by speakers who are specialists in these areas are held for them.

On 21 May 2021, the participants of Women Networking Week received a training “How to successfully pass an interview”. Guests of the festival could also become spectators.

The speaker of the event was Nafosat Tojibaeva, Doctor of Science from Shanghai University, professional journalist and PR specialist. She managed to visit 15 countries, has experience of working in the leading companies in China and the UK BBC World Media and China Televison Network CGTN.

The training provided a theoretical basis that you need to know to successfully pass a job interview. The girls learned about the process of preparing for the interview, the rules for drawing up a resume, how to behave already at the interview itself, answer the employer’s questions and ask their own. They were also told about the most common mistakes they make when hiring.

“At the interview, you need to behave as naturally as possible and objectively assess your strengths and capabilities,” Nafosat Tojibaeva shared her experience during the training. - At the same time, you need to constantly work on yourself and believe in your own strength. Always try to gain as much experience as possible, communicate with as many people as possible and extract a useful case from every, even the smallest, project.

The girls have been developing projects for the second day. They are so full of energy and desire to work that some of them almost created the foundation of a startup yesterday. On the first day, one of the teams shared the idea of their project.

Students from different universities have come together to create a project to improve the lives of the population. They want to develop an online employment platform that is accessible to people with disabilities, women victims of violence, and people from socially vulnerable families. The goal of the project is to eradicate unemployment.

“Everything will be involved: media, volunteering, training centers and much more. This will become the whole system. We want to cover not only the capital, but all regions. Now we keep statistics, identify problems among the people in order to find solutions based on specific examples. The project has not been completed yet, today is only the first day,” said Munisa Mullojanova, a student of the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Construction.

On 25 May, the winning team of the Women’s Networking Week will be determined, which will receive funding from TBC Bank for the implementation of the developed project.
