WCO experts train Uzbek customs officers in valuation control
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The State Customs Committee has launched a seminar on "Customs Valuation Control" with the participation of experts from the World Customs Organization (WCO).
The seminar is designed for customs officers working at the State Customs Committee and regional departments. Training is conducted by WCO Secretariat customs valuation specialist Ismail Nashid and Japan Customs expert Izumi Kurahashi.
The agenda includes the implementation of the WCO Agreement on Customs Valuation, challenges in assessing customs value, transactions between related parties, methodologies for detecting misdeclarations, valuation control, and practical issues.
The seminar aims to enhance participants' theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and qualifications while fostering experience exchange to improve efficiency.
The training will run until 28 February.
