Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 6 July 2022, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov.

The parties discussed in detail topical issues of further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The mutual disposition was confirmed to intensify efforts to implement the agreements reached following the state visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The ministers agreed on a schedule of upcoming events, including the organization of a trilateral meeting in the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey format in Tashkent.

Bayramov expressed Azerbaijan’s full support for the measures taken by the Government of Uzbekistan to ensure peace, stability and sustainable development in Karakalpakstan. The inadmissibility of any actions against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state was noted.
