Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated that vehicle speed in Tashkent may be reduced to 60 km/h during an inspection of the road infrastructure of Samarkand.
“In the near future, a decision will be made in Tashkent to set the maximum speed at 60 km/h,” the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel reports.
Now in the settlements of the country cars are allowed to move at a speed of up to 70 km/h, and outside them - at a speed of no more than 100 km/h.
The President also spoke about the discussion of the return of trams to the streets of Tashkent. Mirziyoyev noted that there are many requests from citizens about this.
