Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 20 to 25 March, an increased avalanche risk has been declared in the mountainous areas of six regions in Uzbekistan. According to Uzhydromet, the risk of avalanches is associated with expected precipitation and fluctuations in air temperature.

The highest probability of avalanches has been recorded in the following areas:

Kashkadarya region: Dekhkanabad, Kitab, Kamashi, and Shakhrisabz districts.

Surkhandarya region: Baysun, Kumkurgan, Sariosiyo, and Uzun districts.

Samarkand region: Nurabad, Kushrabad, Samarkand, and Urgut districts.

Jizzakh region: Bakhmal and Zomin districts.

Tashkent region: Akhangaran, Bostanlyk, and Parkent districts (Chatkal mountain range).

Namangan region: Pap district.

Residents and visitors of mountainous areas, as well as drivers traveling to these regions, are advised to take precautionary measures and consider the weather forecast.
