Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the Uzbekistan–Türkiye business forum held in Tashkent, substantive negotiations took place aimed at strengthening partnerships in the leather industry.

A delegation from the Uzcharmsanoat Association, together with representatives from Halk Bank and leading sector enterprises, held meetings with representatives of prominent Turkish brands Guardi and Tergan.

During the discussion with Aydın Aksu, General Manager of Guardi, the parties explored the potential for expanding leather raw material exports from Uzbekistan, as well as the possibility of launching joint manufacturing operations and producing goods under the Guardi brand. Special attention was given to experience exchange in design and the introduction of advanced technologies.

Talks with Mustafa Tergan, founder of Tergan, focused on strategic cooperation in production, development of retail networks, and product design enhancement. The parties reached preliminary agreements on sample analysis, technical specifications alignment, and the launch of several commercial projects.

These negotiations marked an important step toward deepening economic ties between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, signaling the beginning of a new chapter in the development of the two countries’ leather industries.
