Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekneftegaz JSC stated that gasoline sold through exchange trading costs 6,700 soums from purchase to delivery to the consumer.
“Today, on 8 January, an unconfirmed message about a drop in gasoline prices spread on social media, sparking widespread discussion among internet users and consumers,” the company said.
The statement says that Uzbekneftegaz has gradually implemented the prevention of gasoline shortages, lower prices in accordance with consumer demand and supply, and changes in this area will be officially announced, primarily through the press service of the Company and the media.
According to the company, today gasoline sold through exchange trading costs 6,700 soums from purchase to delivery to the consumer (taxes, profitability, transportation costs and other costs).
As a result of the work carried out to reduce costs, gasoline is sold at the gas stations of UNG Petro, owned by Uzbekneftegaz, at 6,500 soums.
At all gas stations of Uzbekneftegaz throughout the Republic, the sale of gasoline is provided at the same fixed price.
“It is worth noting that with a decrease in gasoline prices, information will be published on the official website and on the pages of the JSC’s social networks,” Uzbekneftegaz said.
Earlier, Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange stated that the price for Ai-80 gasoline decreased by 6.3% to 7.47 million soums. When recalculated per liter, the exchange price of AI-80 motor gasoline is about 5,700 soums per liter, the press service of the exchange notes.
