Uzbekneftegaz: As part of the investment project, it is planned to produce more than 1 billion cubic meters of natural gas by the end of the year

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Several joint ventures have been set up jointly with Uzbekneftegaz to explore and develop gas fields. One of these partners is JV Natural Gas-Stream LLC, which is engaged in exploration and development of wells in Ustyurt.

This joint venture is currently carrying out exploration work at the Sechankul, Okzhar and Chimboy investment blocks, as well as drilling at the Urga field and in the Akchalak and Chandir group of fields. The total cost of this project is US$701.4 million.

To date, within the framework of the project, drilling operations have been completed at 27 wells and 3D seismic surveys have been carried out on an area of 600 sq. km.

The joint venture at the Akchalak field carried out the following works:

• 15 wells improved;

• gas pipelines with a length of 78.9 km were laid;

• 5.5 km of water pipes installed;

• 40.5 km of power transmission lines were laid.

The following work was carried out at the Chandir field: 

• 137.7 km of gas pipelines were laid;

• 81.6 km of power transmission lines, 119.8 km of fiber-optic communication cable for the purpose of repairing the field with telephone and Internet;

• 133.3 km of roads were built;

• A work camp for 50 people was built.

The following work was carried out at the Urga field:

• a metering device was installed to transfer gas to the Bukhara-Ural gas pipeline;

• a working camp for 23 people was built;

• improved 3 wells;

• 3.1 km of gas pipelines were laid.

Currently, sidetracking is being carried out at the Akchalok investment block at 1 well (the Kukchalok field), and 3 wells are being overhauled.

To date, well No. 3, located at the Akchalok field in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, has been connected to a gas collection manifold.

At the Urga field, work was carried out to cut the sidetrack in well No. 9, hydraulic fracturing of the layer in well No. 4. Works were carried out to connect the wells to the gas collection manifold.

By the end of 2022, 1.095 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 27.2 thousand tons of gas condensate are expected to be produced.
