Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held talks with the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili.

The head of the foreign ministry emphasized that interparliamentary cooperation plays a key role in strengthening Uzbek-Georgian relations, remaining an important element of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The parties highlighted the importance of maintaining strong humanitarian ties between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Georgia, expressing mutual interest in organizing cultural days, expanding exchanges in education and science, as well as developing interpersonal contacts.
