Uzbekistan to introduce penalties for deviation from established routes
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan is considering a draft law that introduces penalties for deviations from established transportation routes.
The proposal has gained urgency due to the growing demand for cargo and passenger transportation, the need to improve service quality, prevent vehicle overloads, and ensure effective state oversight in the transportation sector.
The draft law, aimed at enhancing state control in the transportation industry, has already passed its first reading in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.
The proposed amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses address violations in the transportation of goods and passengers by rail and metro. They also include regulations for operating faulty tachographs used to monitor drivers’ working hours and rest periods, and establish penalties for drivers failing to comply with labor and rest schedules.
