Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Kazan will host the first international exercises to respond to outbreaks of infections. Teams of mobile laboratories from different countries will learn to interact for rapid deployment in the event of new infections anywhere in the world.
The first international exercise of mobile rapid response laboratories will be held in Kazan. They are aimed at working out interaction in case of outbreaks of diseases, the republican agency for press and mass communications "Tatmedia" reported on Wednesday.
“On 11 October 2021, with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation in Kazan, on the territory of the Kazan Expo IEC, the first international exercises of mobile rapid response laboratories, which are being conducted by Rospotrebnadzor and the World Health Organization, will start. The purpose of the exercise is to develop the skills of practical interaction of specialists of mobile laboratories on joint response in the event of an outbreak of an infectious disease,” the message says.
It is noted that teams of mobile laboratories from different countries will learn to interact for rapid deployment in the event of new infections emerging anywhere in the world.
The exercises will be held in a hybrid format and will bring together about 130 representatives of sanitary and epidemiological services, medical organizations, scientific institutions from 11 countries of the CIS and Europe. Participants from Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Belgium, Germany, France, as well as representatives of the World Health Organization will take part in the event.
