Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- For the first time, the Pakistani port of Karachi sent a transit cargo for export from Uzbekistan. First, the cargo was sent to Karachi by land transport, after which it followed to India.
It is noted that for the port it has become an "important milestone" and a symbol of expanding cooperation between the two countries. The port expects that other countries will also use the route for the delivery of goods to Central Asia through Pakistan.
In November last year, Pakistan simplified the customs clearance for Uzbek transit. And in March 2022, India for the first time sent commercial cargo to Uzbekistan in transit through Pakistan and Afghanistan.
