Uzbekistan sends humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan sent another humanitarian aid to the Kyrgyz Republic by a special plane in order to support the efforts of Kyrgyzstan in the fight against the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus. This was reported by the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry.

The humanitarian cargo included 100,000 disposable gloves, 10,000 disposable protective overalls, 2,000 goggles, 100,000 disposable masks, 1,000 boxes of heparin, 10,000 pieces of a set to prevent the COVID-19 virus, 10,000 tests for detecting the virus, 5,000 packs of remdisevir, 4,000 units of sodium chlorine, 62 160 units of disposable syringes and 20 000 units of systems. In addition, the construction of two modular, high-tech hospitals has begun.

In the coming days, Uzbekistan also plans to send 400 special hospital containers and 3 thousand tons of wheat to Kyrgyzstan.

“The Kyrgyz side highly appreciates the support provided and expresses sincere gratitude to the brotherly people of Uzbekistan for the next support within the framework of measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the country,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said in a statement.
