Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Uzbekistan received a consignment of Russian weapons in 2021. Dmitry Shugaev, director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia, said this in an interview with RBC.
“In 2021, we delivered to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Su-30SM aircraft, Mi-35M helicopters, Buk-M2E anti-aircraft missile systems, BTR-80 and BTR-82A armored personnel carriers,” he said.
According to him, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan received multifunctional complexes with UAVs "Orlan-10E", lightly armored vehicles "Typhoon-K", small arms.
Shugaev noted that the authorities of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan themselves decide to increase or reduce supplies in agreement with the Russian side.
“The countries adjacent to Afghanistan, our partners, themselves determine, based on the needs and plans of building national armed forces, how many weapons they need. Our main goal is to maintain stability in this region and fulfill the corresponding obligations,” he said.
