Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan has organized mass production of the Qalqon light armored vehicle (LBA). This was reported by the State Committee of Uzbekistan for the defense industry.

The Committee notes that vehicles are supplied to units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The lightly armored Qalqon vehicle was created at one of the enterprises of the defense-industrial complex of Uzbekistan. The vehicle has successfully passed all practical tests.

The performance characteristics of the Qalqon LBA, manufactured from scratch on the basis of the design documentation of the industry specialists, were improved as a result of the tests carried out.

The experts confirmed the compliance of the tactical and technical characteristics of the LBA with the requirements of the Armed Forces and recognized international standards.
