Uzbekistan National Team to Base in Atlanta During 2026 World Cup

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan national football team will be based in Atlanta during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The team will live and train at the Atlanta United club facilities, the Uzbekistan Football Association announced.

Opponents in Uzbekistan’s group have also chosen their training bases: Portugal will stay in Palm Beach Gardens, while Colombia will be based in Columbus.

FIFA has allocated 61 locations for team accommodations and training throughout the tournament, with bases assigned according to the geographic locations of cities and stadiums hosting matches.

During the group stage, teams will fly to other cities for matches on special charter flights and return to their training bases afterward. Uzbekistan is drawn into Group K, where it will face Portugal, Colombia, and the winner of the intercontinental playoff.
