Uzbekistan has 4.5% inflation in Jan-Sept - State Statistics Committee

Uzbekistan had 4.5% inflation in January-September 2009 compared with 4.2% in the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee reported.
Food prices declined 0.3% in the nine months (compared with a 3.0% increase in January-September 2008), prices on non-food goods rose 7.7% (1.9%) and prices for paid services were up 17.1% (11.6%).
Uzbekistan had 7.8% inflation in 2008. The 2009 budget assumes inflation this year will be in the range 7%-9%.
