Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-February 2022, Uzbekistan exported 4,900 tons of pomegranate to foreign countries in the amount of US$5.4 million.

The export of pomegranate increased by 1,500 tons compared to the corresponding period of last year.

Countries to which Uzbekistan exported the most pomegranates in the first two months of 2022:

Russia – 2,500 tons

Kazakhstan – 1,700 tons

Tajikistan - 492 tons

Kyrgyz R. - 239 tons

Regions that exported the most pomegranates abroad in two months:

Kashkadarya region - 998 tons

Surkhandarya region - 823 tons

Tashkent region - 767 tons

Ferghana region - 661 tons
