Uzbekistan approves protocol on exclusions from free trade regime with Turkmenistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree "On the Approval of an International Agreement."
The decree approves the Protocol on Exclusions from the Free Trade Regime, developed within the framework of the Agreement on Key Areas of Long-Term Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Governments of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, which was signed on January 16, 1996.
The Protocol itself was signed on 16 July 2024, in Tashkent.
The Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade, along with the Customs Committee, have been designated as the competent authorities responsible for implementing the provisions of the agreement.
The Cabinet of Ministers, along with the heads of relevant ministries and departments, has been instructed to ensure oversight of the implementation of this international agreement once it comes into force.
