Uzbekistan and UBAF to Expand Trade Finance Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —Akram Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Olivier Grizard, Head of Central Asia and Azerbaijan at Union de Banques Arabes et Françaises (UBAF).

UBAF is one of the leading banks specializing in international trade finance and supporting export-import operations, playing a significant role in developing financial cooperation between European and Arab countries.

During the meeting, both sides discussed prospects for expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and UBAF in the field of trade finance.

Special attention was given to ensuring working capital for exporters, expanding financing instruments for export operations, and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Following the discussions, both parties expressed readiness to broaden the use of trade finance tools, develop export support mechanisms, and strengthen practical cooperation in these areas.
