Uzbekistan and Russia Expand Cooperation in Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 December, a working meeting was held in Tashkent to discuss the development of partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The discussions involved Alisher Shaykhov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan; Kamolat Mirzalieva, Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Small Business Association; and Nikita Bantsekin, Deputy General Director of the Russian SME Development Corporation.
During the talks, the participants reviewed existing support mechanisms for SMEs in both countries and explored opportunities to expand business contacts between Uzbek and Russian entrepreneurs.
Special attention was given to joint project implementation, the creation of new cooperative initiatives, and strengthening interaction between business structures.
The parties emphasized the importance of creating favorable conditions to enhance enterprise competitiveness, facilitate knowledge exchange, and develop investment cooperation.
As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Uzbekistan Small Business Association and the Russian SME Development Corporation. The agreement will serve as a foundation for further partnership development and open new opportunities for entrepreneurs in both countries.
Both sides agreed to continue the dialogue and begin implementing practical activities in the agreed areas.
