Uzbekistan and Perspektywy Women in Tech to Expand Cooperation in Supporting Women in STEM
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, Kunghirotboy Sharipov, held a productive meeting with Bianka Siwińska, Head of the Perspektywy Women in Tech Foundation.
The discussion focused on key initiatives aimed at increasing the participation of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and enhancing their professional development.
Special attention was given to the expansion of projects such as Women in STEM, the introduction of mentorship programs in higher and vocational education institutions, and the improvement of grant and scholarship mechanisms for female researchers.
The two sides also agreed to hold the 3rd Uzbekistan–Poland Rectors’ Forum in Uzbekistan in 2026. The event will further deepen academic exchange and research cooperation between the universities of both countries.
