Uzbekistan and Pakistan continue strengthening cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 27 to 29 January 2025, a delegation led by Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, is visiting Karachi and Lahore (Islamic Republic of Pakistan).
On the first day of the visit, the delegation met with the leadership of National Logistics Cell (NLC), a prominent logistics and transportation company based in Karachi.
NLC plays a key role in facilitating efficient and reliable cargo transportation via road, rail, and sea. The company also operates innovative logistics centers and modern port infrastructures, contributing significantly to regional trade connectivity.
During the meeting, discussions centered on expanding trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. Particular focus was given to exploring the development of the Termez-Karachi transport corridor and the establishment of an NLC logistics port in Termez.
Ways to strengthen bilateral ties and promote regional economic collaboration were also reviewed.
As a result of the meeting, specific steps were agreed upon to further enhance trade and transportation links between the two nations.
