Uzbekistan and Bashkortostan strengthen agricultural cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The fifth international industrial exhibition "INNOPROM. Central Asia" is currently taking place in Tashkent, covering an area of over 18,000 square meters. The event has gathered more than 10,000 delegates from Russia, Central Asia, China, India, and other countries.

The exhibition has become an important platform for establishing business contacts and discussing promising areas of cooperation. The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ibrahim Abdurahmonov, is holding negotiations with representatives of foreign companies and organizations on the implementation of mutually beneficial projects.

One notable meeting was held with Ilshat Fazrahmanov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The parties discussed the deepening of bilateral cooperation and the launch of new initiatives.

Bashkortostan expressed its intention to increase the supply of sugar, wheat, flour, barley, molasses, and whey to Uzbekistan. They also explored the possibility of organizing the cultivation of grains, legumes, and potatoes by Uzbek farmers in Bashkortostan.

Additionally, proposals were made for supplying canned goods from AO "Pishcheprom," as well as agrochemicals and mineral fertilizers from the company "BashInkom."

The ongoing exhibition in Tashkent demonstrates the growing interest in regional cooperation in industry, agriculture, and trade, opening new opportunities for sustainable development in Uzbekistan and the region.
