Uzbekistan Airways aircraft damaged at Vnukovo during jet bridge removal
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 March, an Uzbekistan Airways aircraft sustained damage to its left engine at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport during the removal of a telescopic jet bridge.
The aircraft was scheduled to operate a flight from Moscow to Tashkent, but the departure was canceled due to technical reasons following the incident. Passengers were accommodated on alternative Uzbekistan Airways flights on 5 and 6 March.
According to the Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor’s Office, the aircraft remains at Vnukovo Airport, where an assessment of its technical condition is underway.
At present, the transport prosecutor’s office is conducting an investigation, the results of which will determine the legal assessment of the actions taken by airport staff.
