Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law approving the Concept of Freedom of Conscience and State Policy on Religion.

The document aims to strengthen stability and promote the country's development, ensuring that people of various nationalities and faiths live under conditions of democracy, equality, freedom, and social justice.

According to the concept, granting or revoking benefits based on religious affiliation is prohibited in Uzbekistan. At the same time, the state guarantees every citizen the right to freedom of religion and belief.

The document also outlines the key directions and mechanisms for developing a secular state in the fields of culture, economy, healthcare, and education.
