Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s National Central Bureau of Interpol has announced the extradition of a female Uzbek citizen from Istanbul to Tashkent. The woman had been on the international wanted list on charges of human trafficking.

According to the investigation, she lured young women to Türkiye under the pretense of offering employment opportunities. Upon arrival, she reportedly confiscated their documents and forced them into prostitution.

After evading justice abroad for an extended period, her location was identified through coordinated efforts between the Interpol bureaus of Tashkent and Ankara, leading to her arrest.

The suspect has now been transferred to Uzbekistan, where investigative procedures are currently underway.
