Uzbek govt, Gazprom to negotiate Central Asia-Center pipe upgrade

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzbek government and Russian natural gas giant Gazprom plan to negotiate in 2009-2011 an upgrade of the Central Asia-Center gas pipeline system.

A new gas pipeline was expected to be built on Uzbek territory.

The Central Asia-Center pipeline pumps Central Asian gas to Russia.
