Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 January 2023, a telephone conversation took place between acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov and Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Helga Schmid.

At the beginning of the conversation, the OSCE Secretary General cordially congratulated Mr. Saidov on his appointment as head of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan and wished him success in his responsible state activities.

It was noted that in recent years, the interaction of Uzbekistan with the OSCE has reached a qualitatively new level. The republic’s cooperation with the institutions of the Organization is developing dynamically in all three dimensions of the OSCE’s activities.

They emphasized the intention of the parties to further strengthen mutually beneficial and constructive cooperation with the OSCE and its institutions in all areas that meet mutual interests.
