Uzbek delegation to participate in the Spring session of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbaeva, has arrived in Saint Petersburg to participate in the Council session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA) of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Scheduled for 17–18 April, the spring session of the IPA will feature several key events, including discussions on the outcomes of the 150th anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in Tashkent, as well as the results of election monitoring by international observers from the IPA of the CIS.
During the session, participants will review the activities of the Assembly in 2024 and establish priorities for preparing upcoming international summits.
A special event will be a commemorative meeting dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II, with parliamentary delegation leaders from CIS countries in attendance.
