Uzbek Delegation Studies Turkish Experience in Working with People with Disabilities
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 7 to 10 October 2025, a delegation from the National Agency for Social Protection of Uzbekistan conducted a working visit to Ankara, Türkiye.
During the visit, agency representatives took part in a roundtable organized by the Turkish Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Ministry of Health.
The discussions focused on social protection for people with disabilities and the organization of social service systems for them.
Delegates also studied the operation of residential institutions and private centers designed for people with disabilities. Special attention was paid to the functioning of day care centers and early intervention services for children with autism spectrum disorders.
The delegation reviewed a pilot project on the comprehensive organization of medical and social services for people with mental health challenges and discussed its results.
The Turkish experience is expected to play an important role in developing new types of social services for people with disabilities in Uzbekistan, as well as in improving the regulatory framework and the operation of residential facilities within the “Murovvat” system.
