Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 January, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia Botirjon Asadov met with the rector of the Institute of Higher and Additional Professional Education of the Federal Scientific and Clinical Center for Reanimatology and Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia Vitaly Okhlopkov at the Embassy of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, issues of expanding cooperation in training specialists in the field of anesthesiology, resuscitation, pathological physiology were discussed.
Rector Vitaly Okhlopkov expressed his readiness to organize refresher courses for Uzbek anesthesiologists-resuscitators and to accept Uzbek medical specialists for postgraduate studies and residency on a contract basis.
An agreement was also reached to send Russian specialists to Uzbekistan to conduct lectures, master classes using simulation educational technologies, as well as exchange experience and train Uzbek colleagues.
The Center for Resuscitation and Rehabilitation was established in 2014 for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with severe brain injuries who have been on artificial ventilation for a long time and have impaired consciousness. During the pandemic, the center was designated by the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia as an advisory center for the rehabilitation of patients who have undergone a new coronavirus infection, and became a locomotive in retraining and advanced training of Russian medical specialists.
The Institute trains highly qualified personnel through residency and postgraduate studies in the areas of "Anesthesiology-resuscitation" and "Pathological physiology".
