UNOPS expresses interest in procuring pharmaceutical products from Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Sweden facilitated an online meeting between Abdullah Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, and Christine Damkjaer, Assistant Executive Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), Dunyo news agency reported.
UNOPS is a specialized UN agency operating globally in infrastructure, healthcare, procurement, and project management. The organization collaborates with both the public and private sectors to develop sustainable and efficient solutions in healthcare.
During the meeting, the UNOPS representative expressed interest in exploring Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical market for potential procurement opportunities. The Uzbek side provided an overview of the country’s pharmaceutical sector, export potential, and collaboration opportunities with international organizations.
Both parties agreed to continue cooperation and assess promising avenues for introducing Uzbek pharmaceutical products to global markets.
