Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Two police officers were fired for using force against Kazakh tourists in Samarkand. The prosecutor's office opened a criminal case against them, UzA reported.
On the night of 20-21 May, employees of the Patrol and Guard Service of the Internal Affairs Directorate of Samarkand, recruited to serve at night, in the process of checking the identity of tourists on Mirzo Ulugbek Street, grossly violating the norms of professional ethics, abused their official position and powers to apply special technical means.
