Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 19 April 2021 at about 23:30 on Beruni street (next to the Tinchlik metro station), a collision of two vehicles occurred: a Nexia-3 car (license plate 30 V 472 VA ), which was driven by a 23-year-old native of the Samarkand region, Abdullo Z., and a Matiz car (license plate 01 L 599 ZA), driven by 25-year-old Bunyod N.
As a result of the collision, the passenger of "Nexia-3", a 24-year-old native of the Samarkand region, Mohinur T. was injured and was taken to a medical facility. The driver of "Nexia-3", despite the efforts of doctors, died from his injuries in the hospital. The driver of "Matiz" died from his injuries at the scene.
Preliminary cause of the accident: the driver of "Nexia-3" was moving with a significant excess of speed, as a result of which he lost control of the vehicle, flew into the oncoming lane, where he collided with the second car.
On this fact, the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime provided for by part 3 of Article 266 ("Violation of the rules for operating a vehicle, resulting in human casualties") of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
An investigation is underway.
