Turkmen president starts official visit to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov starts an official visit to Uzbekistan on 24 February on the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.

Uzbek Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyayev welcomed Turkmen president Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov at the Tashkent airport.

During the visit, the presidents of two states will discuss issues of expansion of Uzbek-Turkmen cooperation, as well as important problems of regional and international character.

Signing of a number of bilateral documents aimed at deepening cooperation in various spheres is planned.
