"Toshkent Metro": New trains, interactive portal and plans for the future

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, a briefing was held at the Agency of Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on measures taken to improve the quality of services provided to the population, organized jointly with the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan and UE Toshkent Metro.

Abdulaziz Kosimov, Deputy Head of Toshkent Metro Unitary Enterprise, spoke in more detail about the upcoming innovations. In particular, he said that on the eve of the upcoming public holiday - the 30th anniversary of the independence of our country, the rolling stock of the Tashkent metro will be replenished with five more new trains.

The briefing participants were also familiarized with the new interval train schedule being introduced to create favorable conditions for passengers. They said that in order to increase the types of services provided on the metro, work is underway to attract other mobile operators to increase the attractiveness of the metro.

They also said that the official website of the Tashkent Metro is functioning, which is currently being updated taking into account modern requirements and technologies. The Tashkent Metro also intends to carry out a direct dialogue with passengers in a new format. It was announced that for this in the near future the Metropolitan - Passenger portal will be opened, through which passengers, residents and guests of the capital will be able to present their proposals, recommendations or remarks. In turn, the metro workers will take appropriate measures.

Representatives of the Tashkent metro also announced information about the short-term (for 2021-2022) and long-term (for 2023-2030) measures to upgrade the equipment and facilities of the metro that are currently being developed. And in order to improve the quality of the provision of services for the transportation of passengers and interaction with the media, it is planned to hold meetings with media representatives once every 2 months in the format of a press conference or briefing to discuss and resolve pressing issues of the public.
