Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The planes could not take off and land at the airports of Urgench and Nukus tonight due to poor visibility, the press service of Uzbekistan Airports reported.
Due to dense fog at the Urgench airport - visibility is about 200 meters - the Aeroflot airline flight AFL1976, en route from Moscow, could not take off from Sheremetyevo airport at 03:25.
According to the company, the situation is similar with two more flights: SBI6481 Samara - Urgench of S7 Airlines, which was supposed to take off at 04:35, and SVR2473 from St. Petersburg of Ural, which also did not take off at 03:30.
At the moment, the planes are at the sending airports until the weather conditions improve in Urgench.
Thick fog - visibility of 200 meters - also limited the operation of Nukus airport. Two UzAirways flights HY15 / 16 and HY11 / 12 are awaiting departure in Tashkent.
