Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A law aimed at improving the procedure for assigning pensions was signed by the President of Uzbekistan.
According to the Law, doctors and paramedical personnel of specialized medical institutions with a special experience of at least 25 years in towns, villages and auls are entitled to a pension with a reduction in the established age by 5 years, regardless of the last place of work.
In accordance with the law, the procedure for establishing the upbringing or maintenance of the deceased stepson (stepdaughter) by the stepfather and stepmother is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Persons who have special merits to the Republic of Uzbekistan are given increments to accrued pensions - from 100 to 150 percent of the base amount of the pension calculation. At the same time, the procedure for paying the supplement to their pension is established by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The time of work after the appointment of a disability pension of groups I and II is counted in the length of service.
At the request of a citizen, the pension is recalculated once every two years, taking into account the length of service and earnings acquired after the assignment of a disability pension of groups I and II, if there is 1 year of work experience. At the same time, the recalculation of the pension is made on the basis of the required length of service in relation to age on the date of the citizen's application for recalculation of the amount of the pension.
