Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 4 January 2023, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China Jiang Yan.

During the talks, the prospects for further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries in various fields were considered, including through the implementation of the agreements reached following the state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Uzbekistan in September 2022.

Special attention was paid to building up trade, economic, investment, transport and communication cooperation.

An exchange of views took place on the practical aspects of interaction within the framework of the UN, the SCO and other multilateral structures.

The schedule and agenda of upcoming events in bilateral and multilateral formats were discussed.

Other issues of mutual interest were also considered at the meeting.
