Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Government resolution approved the Regulations on the procedure for using technical means in the process of express testing of samples of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues, precursors, potent substances and currency during operational search activities.

According to the resolution, from 1 July 2023, the bodies carrying out operational-search activities check samples of substances (objects) or currency at the place of their discovery or in the building of law enforcement agencies using technical means of express verification in the following cases:

- in case of doubts about belonging to a narcotic drug of a substance (object) identified during registration of a condition associated with illegal drug trafficking;

- if the question arises as to what type of narcotic drugs the substance (subject) being determined belongs to;

- when new types of narcotic drugs are discovered;

- in case of suspicion of forgery of a sample of currency, revealed during operational-search activities;

if it is necessary to ensure long-term operational-search activities, in order to be efficient and save time accordingly.

In order to ensure that photo and video materials of each of the above cases are recorded using the express verification method, they are stored as a separate consolidated volume for 2 years.
