Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Regulation on the procedure for transferring state functions to the private sector was approved by the Government resolution.
According to the Regulation, the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction (authorized body) together with interested ministries and departments annually:
- until 15 February, will conduct a complete inventory of ineffective and exclusive functions in public administration;
- analyzes the possibility of transferring ineffective public functions to the private sector, identified before 20 March;
- analyzes the economic efficiency of public functions that can be transferred to the private sector by 20 May, and forms the final list of public functions that are proposed to be transferred to the private sector;
- conducts public hearings until 1 July and forms a preliminary list of private sector entities with experience similar to government functions;
- until 1 August, forms a list of state functions that are recommended to be transferred to the private sector, and submits a proposal to the Cabinet of Ministers along with the relevant conclusions;
- develops a draft normative legal act on the transfer of state functions to the private sector, which is approved by the government before 1 October.
