Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, upon admission to the Tashkent State University of Law, applicants take tests in 5 subject complexes, consisting of 2 sections:
- in section 1, there are three compulsory subjects for all areas - native language (Uzbek, Russian or Karakalpak), mathematics and history of Uzbekistan;
- in section 2, there are two subjects in the direction of education "jurisprudence" - history and a foreign language.
Since the beginning of the 2023/2024 academic year, issue of introducing legal sciences instead of history into subjects corresponding to a bachelor’s degree in jurisprudence has been considered and approved by the University Council.
The implementation of this proposal will bring a number of positive results, in particular:
- in-depth study of legal sciences, a thorough study of the Constitution and laws by school-age children;
- creation of high-quality legal textbooks in schools in accordance with international standards;
- increased requirements for teachers of law will create a solid foundation for their continuous professional development;
- representatives of the younger generation with basic legal knowledge will be admitted to TSUL.
Today, in general education schools for 4 years in the senior classes, the subjects "Foundations of State and Law" and "Foundations of Constitutional Law" are taught. Test questions will be based on these textbooks.
