The practice of issuing coupons for passing technical inspection for vehicles is canceled in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A government resolution “On measures to improve the procedure for conducting mandatory technical inspection of vehicles” was adopted.

According to the resolution, the procedure for the use of mobile lines of technical control is being introduced during the mandatory technical inspection of vehicles in the units of the State Road Safety Service.

From 1 September 2021, when conducting a mandatory technical inspection of vehicles of category M1, entrepreneurs - legal entities will use mobile technical control lines.

Until 1 July 2021, for entrepreneurs engaged in mandatory technical inspection of vehicles, it will be possible to access the automated information system "Technical Inspection" of the State Traffic Safety Service.

From 1 September 2021, the practice of issuing technical inspection coupons for all vehicles, with the exception of vehicles traveling abroad, will be canceled.

Also, the resolution approved the Regulation on the procedure for conducting mandatory technical inspection of vehicles.

According to this, vehicles are subject to technical inspection in accordance with the following frequency:

- cars used for the transportation of passengers on a commercial basis, buses, trolleybuses, trams and trucks equipped for the systematic transportation of people, with 8 or more seats (except for the driver's seat), special vehicles and trailers for transportation oversized, heavy and dangerous cargo - twice a year;

- vehicles, from the year of production of which no more than 6 years have passed - once every two years;

- vehicles, from the year of production of which more than 6 years have passed, including the year of production, as well as vehicles, the year of production of which has not been established - once a year;

- trailers are presented for inspection within the time frame established for a vehicle - a tractor.

- when registering (re-registering) with the traffic police, regardless of the previously established deadlines for passing the next technical inspection.

New vehicles, when registered with the traffic police, do not undergo technical inspection.
