The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage introduced clarifications and additions to the current border crossing procedure

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the requests of citizens of Uzbekistan and foreign tourists, the following clarifications and additions are being made to the current border crossing procedure:

- the deadlines for submission of "PCR tests in 72 hours" are counted from the date and time of issuance of negative PCR test results to the applicant (paper, electronic, QR code). A certificate of the absence of a coronovirus infection must be up-to-date at the time of crossing the border of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

- if the passenger does not have PCR tests, a person crossing the border of Uzbekistan passes express tests for the presence / absence of coronovirus infection;

- at the border entry of children under 12 years of age, the provision of passports/vaccination certificates is not required, including the provision of PCR tests, and they do not take express tests when crossing borders.

- all passports/vaccination certificates issued by official bodies of foreign countries are recognized when crossing borders in Uzbekistan.

All the above requirements and rules are relevant for citizens of Uzbekistan, foreign citizens, stateless persons, as well as tourists arriving in Uzbekistan from any country in the world.

The legislation of Uzbekistan does not have any restrictions related to the coronovirus infection on the departure of all persons, including on passing PCR tests for departure. However, if according to the legislation and sanitary regulations of the country of departure/departure there are requirements for passengers, then in Uzbekistan there are all the possibilities for passing tests and receiving vaccinations against coronovirus infection.
