Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  The main New Year tree has been set up in Tashkent, in front of the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi, as reported by the press service of the capital's khokimiyat.
The tree is 33 meters tall, reaching 35 meters with the star on top. It is decorated with 33,000 ornaments and 3,500 LED garlands, totaling 14,000 meters in length.
In addition to the main tree, the square features four smaller trees, over 300 decorative elements, and a large stage for festive performances.
It is worth noting that the trees will be open for visits at all New Year locations in Tashkent from 25 December to 10 January.
